Break out the S&M gear and enjoy a nice piece of wall pork because we’re playing some Castlevania! This isn’t your grandfather’s Castlevania though. This is a Castlevania game from that strange period when they were trying to go 3D, but trying to put Castlevania 64 behind them and just before they decided to reboot the series by slapping a Castlevania title on a God of War rip-off and hoping it would fly because they hired Patrick Stewart for voice work. Well, despite my best efforts, I might as well talk about the game we are playing. Lament of Innocence is one of the rare Castlevania games made post-SNES that I actually liked. So here we go… Oh, and there’s no Dracula in this one, but who needs Dracula when you’ve got Walter?
