A song for our time, a song for all time, a song of the Scars of Time that we bear the cross for in the chronology of time.
Yasunori Mitsuda is the composer of this gem of music. Say what you will about the game, which I don't think Chrono Cross was all that bad, but the music was incredible. The graphics and CGI were great for its time, but certainly dated by today's standards. But back in 2000, when this game reached the North American shores, it was very impressive then. The story is one of few sequels you'll find from a Square-Enix game that is somewhat connected to the previous game. It's not apparent at first, though. There's various aspects of the game that people might point to as its demise, but, those flaws in some way were pointing to something ahead of its time, so maybe we just weren't ready for it. Who knows? Only time will tell how deep those scars cut, and whether the memory and legacy of Chrono Cross lives on.
