In which we unnecessarily take apart a brand new HP 15-ef0023dx laptop, install Windows 10 using my proprietary Tritech Service System, and run Handbrake to see how it performs. Spoilers: Handbrake went fast for about 30 seconds, then the frame rate collapsed to 1/3 of what it was when it started. This Ryzen 5 3500U is fast, but not for sustained multi-threaded workloads. Not recommended for high-end gaming or video encoding. Get a gaming laptop with a non-U CPU and proper cooling if you want high CPU performance. For most typical tasks, it's super good though!
