While it is true that inflation erodes the burden of debt, the majority of household debt is mortgage debt, that is held by homeowners who benefit from asset price inflation.
The middle and working classes are disproportionately hurt by CPI inflation, while the wealthier classes benefit from asset price inflation.
Federal Reserve monetary policy is an all-out assault on the poor.
