Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul On Jacob Blake
Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul On Jacob Blake
On August 23, 2020 Police in Kenosha Wisconsin responded to a 911 call for Domestic Abuse. An altercation took place between police and Jacob Blake that ended in him being shot 7 times. Jacob Blake had an ACTIVE WARRANT for Felony RAPE, has a history of charges for Domestic Abuse, Strangulation/Suffocation, and threatening people with a gun. He has been known to resist police.
Riots broke out after the second part of this video taken from a neighbors window showed a black man being shot in the back by police.
ARREST WARRANT was issued on June 7, 2020 for FELONY RAPE (3rd Degree Sexual Assault: “sexual intercourse with a person without the consent of that person,”) and Misdemeanor Domestic Abuses, Criminal Trespass into a Home, and Disorderly Conduct
2016 He was arrested for Domestic Abuse including Strangulation/Suffocation
2015 Jacob Blake was arrested for carrying and pulling a gun on a patron in a bar. And when the bartender ordered him to leave, he pointed the gun at patrons through the window.
Police later stopped Blake while he was driving an SUV, and when ordered to put his hands out the window, he instead exited and walked toward the officers and “ignored commands to get down on the ground.”
Officers forced him down, but Blake continued to resist, so police used a K9 to subdue him.
Cops found a handgun, a box of ammunition, and two loaded magazines in the SUV.
Blake’s blood alcohol level was 0.144, almost twice Wisconsin’s 0.08 legal limit.
Police charged Blake with “one felony count of resisting arrest causing a soft tissue injury to a police officer and one misdemeanor count each of carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, endangering safety-use of a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct”
Unconfirmed reports say a "key eyewitness" heard the police tell Jacob Blake to "drop the knife".
The Attorney General stated that Jacob Blake admitted he had a knife in his possession. The AG also stated that a knife was found on the driver side floorboard of the vehicle.
Information for this 2020 shooting is still ongoing
