The Monterey Bay Aquarium managed to otterly disappoint several social justice warriors on Twitter the other day. The aquarium's social media account tweeted a joke about Abby, one of its female otters. Whoever runs the Monterey Bay Aquarium account made a ham-fisted attempt to sound more "street." All in all it was a mildly amusing joke that caused some minor consternation among Twitter's social justice crowd.

What the Monterey Bay Aquarium did after the tweet, however, left me in a state of otter shock.
