Of course the Remainers are all peddling the lie that a second referendum would mean we’re having ‘more democracy’. No, what it means is that when there’s a vote you don’t like this would give the losers the precedent to do absolutely everything they can to scramble it then demand another bite of the cherry. It would encourage anti-democratic activity to overturn every vote you don’t like.
And I would also point out that we haven’t even executed the wishes of the people from last referendum yet.
In fact forcing the result of the 2016 referendum through to the full exit of the UK from the EU has now become THE test of our so-called ‘modern democracy’.
By not following through with that result fully, then we will showing the world that we are not a democracy at all, we are just another oligarchy.
Are we to let the minority vote win out because the establishment believes that the majority is wrong and so has worked in the background to make the outcome that the majority voted for as uncomfortable as it can? That is the death of democracy.
And as Tory MP Bernard Jenkin told the BBC:
