TL:DR
This video is satirical and obviously sarcastic take on using food plants and weight gain as a way to reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide thereby reducing global warming/ climate change.
Longer version:
Carbon dioxide is an imminent issue with long term impact on the world through global warming/ climate change. It is recognized that we have run out of conventional means to reduce or remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Those methods we know work are simply not being put into effect soon enough or on a large enough scale. How than can we resolve this problem before irreparable heat increases are seen?
The answer is surprisingly delicious and takes no effort.
Eat more and exercise less.
Every living person on the planet contributes CO2 via respiration. This generally contributes a net amount equal to the volume used to produce food which creates an approximate balance.
That assumes that the amount of food eaten is only enough to maintain the same weight. If you increase the the amount eaten than you decrease the amount in the atmosphere. This assumes a simple linear relationship between the relative constant of CO2 from respiration and the amount used to produce food.
If this is correct and there is a liner relationship between the constant of CO2 from respiration and the amount used to produce food. You could increase the amount of food consumed and create a deficit effect on the amount of global CO2 as it is absorbed into plants for food and the CO2 is retained as fat. The amount of food needed to get tot his is not as much as you might think.
As people die we can than bury them to remove the CO2 just like rocks. This would lead to a net reduction in the atmospheric CO2. This being preferable to a sudden and unfortunate decrease to the world wide population.
Obviously this is more complicated than a simple [x] in and [y] out equation. Different people have drastically different respiration, dietary and exercise habits.This would produce ..
