Freedom vs. Statism

For possibly the first time in human history, we are offered freedom. But freedom is not our habit. We want everything given to us. We want someone else to be responsible. We are still slaves in our minds. We blame the successful for our failures. We place our leaders under the cruel onus of forcing us to behave civilly.
We are therefore all participants in our own enslavement.
We are terrified of risking our own decisions, so we are resentful of those who have the courage to risk and succeed.
We legitimize our failings by accusing the successful of greed.
We are envious and weak. We would rather have someone else tell us what to do, so we can also blame someone else when things don't work. That is why we have set up governments/thugs-with-guns, to run roughshod on the successful and bully everyone into sameness.
If we persist in slave mentality, this stalemate between the governing and the governed will remain.
