Abortion: What are the facts?

Abortion is one of the most controversial and complex subjects in ethics and politics. In this podcast/video, I discuss the subject and delve into a lot of the statistics that are known both in the United States and worldwide.

This is a recounting of abortion data with all ideology drained from the issue. It is best to approach controversial topics by first getting to the flat facts of the matter rather than emotional reactions in one direction or the other. This video also covers survey responses as to the reasons that abortions were performed which vary from extreme cases to cases that do not neatly fit into expected categories.

These statistics do not include miscarriages but rather all intentionally induced abortions. Medical safety procedures are also a key component and are discussed herein.

Instead of breaking this down into a pro-choice or pro-life debate, I believe the best place to begin is with the data and the facts. From there one can begin to better reason about the subject.
