Owning a weapon is a natural human right. No reasonable person can argue otherwise. Self-defense is drilled into your DNA by nature, and you don't need a politician to make it your right. Everybody must defend himself/herself against anybody. The naive idea is that you should wait for a savior to save you and protect you is precisely what got us into this mess of police brutality and authoritarianism. This is NOT an issue of racism. This is an issue of authoritarianism. It's an issue of police brutality, and the solution is very simple: abolish all police departments everywhere and revert back to neighborhood watch. Every neighborhood MUST police itself by those who live in it. Everybody should be armed to defend his/her home and property. There are many examples of thriving cop-free communities around the world where residents police themselves without government officials. Exarchia in Athens, Santa Cruz Del Islote in Colombia, and Cheran in Mexico are three good examples. The residents of the Mexican city of Cheran, which is a living testimony that politicians invite crime and incubate it, now police themselves after they kicked out all the politicians and police from town 8 years ago. They haven't seen any crime ever since.
