Body Cam: Suspect Stops Bullets with His Rifle - Comes Out Uninjured in Shootout with LVMPD

LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Chris Jones provided body camera footage, 911 call, picture and details on the June 22, 2020 incident that occurred at 2100 Citrus Hills Ave. Officers responded to a call of an agitated adult male armed with a samurai sword. The suspect later retrieved a rifle and pointed it at responding officers, who responded by firing multiple rounds, none of which directly struck the suspect. He suffered minor injuries and was arrested after a lengthy standoff/negotiation.
