Metzger takes us on a trek from 1975 to 1989, describing his years in the Klan; his appearances on mainstream television talk shows; skirmishes with police, non-Whites and communists; meeting and joining forces with the honorable Dr. David Duke; his feud with radical, Jewish terrorist Irv Rubin of the JDL; founding of the White Aryan Resistance movement; street fights with dangerous weapons; debating leftists on CNN and other mainstream media outlets; creating his own border watch with Duke to prevent illegal migrants from swarming in; and more. The film chronicles Metzger's journey using news reels, archived TV footage and home video clips. As a result, many scenes may be of sub-optimal quality.
Tom Metzger, who is of German descent, tragically died a little over a year ago on November 4, 2020 of Parkinson's disease. He was 82 at the time of his death and left behind six children. It's unclear whether the act was intentional or not, but his legacy was insulted heavily by the newspaper that published his obituary. This newspaper decided to place the entry on Metzger's death right next to an ad for Jewish cemeteries. The tough-as-nails brawler Metzger could arguably be considered one of the original "wignats".
