The Evansville Police Department has released body Cam of an officer involved shooting after
Officers respond to the 2600 block of Pollack Avenue
Saturday. Jan 18 at around 1:34 a.m. after a 911 call of a man later identified as Melvin Solomon, 51 who told the dispatcher that he shot someone. When Officers arrived on scene they were confronted with Solomon holding a knife in both hands. The officer told Solomon to drop the knife, Solomon responded "shoot me" then he turned around to go back in the house, this is when the officer involved shooting occurred. Officer shot multiple times hitting Solomon in the arm. Solomon was treated at the hospital and was released since. More details in a briefing of EPD spokesman Sgt.
