Sony was betting big on its Charlie’s Angels revival this past weekend. However, the reboot badly under-performed with under $9 million domestically and $27 million worldwide. Elizabeth Banks directed Charlie’s Angels, and pointed the blame at comic book films during an interview. “If this movie doesn’t make money it reinforces a stereotype in Hollywood that men don’t go see women do action movies,” said Banks. “[Audience members will] go and see a comic book movie with Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel because that’s a male genre."
Fallen Angels is missing from Marvel's February 2020 solicitations, signaling at least one skip month for the recently launched X-Men title. Though Fallen Angels' actual status is unconfirmed, series writer Brian Edward Hill adressed Fallen Angels on Twitter.
