The Motto for this entire series is a quote from the book, a phrase which is one of the best advices I’ve ever received “Make your acceptance of human nature as radical as possible.”

The law we will cover today is “The law of narcissism. Transform self-love into empathy”.

Self-love is something which is seen as wrong because it can very easily drift into self-absorption, arrogance, egocentrism and selfishness. We develop self-love early in our life, usually between two and five years of age, when we start to experience life more independently than before when our parents were around us to solve all the problems we faced. This is when we can turn to toxic narcissism as well because if our never-ending need for attention is not carefully served by the people around us, we tend to keep pushing in this direction until we receive the level of attention that we would like.
