SLEEPCHAMBER and their BARBITCHUETTES (video)

For those who do not know what this concept is. THE BARBITCHUETTES were a league of female vixen dancers that leader of SleepChamber {John Zewizz} incorporated into the band as a fetish style dancer to accompany the live performances. Zewizz experimented with the idea on the 1990 Tour of Texas. As the SleepChamber shows began to increase in popularity in the 90's THE BARBITCHUETTES grew from 5-6 girls to 10-15 full on fetish dancers per performance. The outfits got more sexual (Strap-ons, sex toys, whips,etc) to a point where the performing also grew in sexual direction. Anyone a fan of the concept will tell you the BARBITCHUETTES are like nothing else currently being served up as entertainment. The personalities also grew. There was a contortionist-(Semiramis)- a CATWOMAN (LuLu) fully suited in a 'Cat Woman suit'. And a collection of overly sexual women as serious about their outfits as they were about their performances. Not enough information can be found on the inside of the collective. Which rumors to be cult like. Containing everything from 'ranks to rules tied to a documented hierarchy.
Each live song was choreographed around a sexually romantic theme. John Zewizz was a natural when it came to this 'version' of the now 40+ year old band SLEEPCHAMBER. Zewizz was now able to compose each song performed live around a female (or more than one) to the insight of the emotion or arousal to each song. There is no secret that Zewizz drafted most of his infamous BARBITCHUETTES from Strip Clubs. Which seems less important than the burlesque performances evoked by Mr Zewizz. Totally outrageous performances were growing sexually out of control. BARBITCHUETTE Line-ups were also changing. Zewizz was trying to manage a band, a gang of dancers, recording new music and on top of it all maintain a heroin addiction. Eventually Zewizz disbanded THE BARBITCHUETTES on New Years Eve-2001 when it all disappeared. Most say after the accidental overdose of his girlfriend Zewizz was no longer interested in pursuing the BARBITCHUETTE concept. Zewizz claims "I took it as far as it would go. To continue would be just repetition. Or milking something successful to death. Not to mention organizing so many different individuals was absorbing my whole life". (JZ). BARBITCHUETTES~ 1990-2001
