Sadly, the third of the Wonder trio of feral wildlings (which I had originally named Wendy, Marvin, and Wonderdog) is finally no more. The new Wendy, which took the name after the previous Wendy ended up being a Marvin, also ended up being a Marvin. Since I am not going to try to save pollen off this one, he was looking rather sickly anyway, he was just pulled, thrown out, and simply stricken from the record.
So then there were three. All that remains now are Tinkerbell, who I am going to attempt to keep pure just for the best buds I can hope for this year; Wildfire, one of the ferals that was briefly moved inside, then replanted, and the one formerly called Houdini. Since Bessie has been renamed back to Cratchet, after being found to be male, I figured Houdini would take on the Bessie name. She and Wildfire are still scheduled to be pollinated once they flower and I am certain Wonder Dog's pollen is good to go. Granted, I don't know if Bessie will flower or not, but I have a hunch she will have something to present for operation Red Rocket and make seeds.
