Deal with It Attitude

You can work the dog through things that your dog won’t walk over or go through or go under. It just takes the proper motivator Most people would go the food and praise route to motivate the dog, sure that’s great if it works and we use food for training. When a dog is afraid though most of the time it won’t take food and praise will just add more noise to the dogs head. So what do you do? Just do it, just walk over, under and through using leash pressure ( both light and firm) which is just guidance. You stay neutral in energy and get it done. The first couple of reps might look messy but then things are fine we have seen this work thousands of times and it does not take long. It can all be accomplished in one training session. By the end of the training session the dog is doing it freely under their own power. I’m not talking about anything sophisticated in these scenarios I’m talking about walking over surfaces. Going over a log. Climbing up an A frame things the dog is extremely capable and able to do. Then the more you do this the more confidence your dog will have in so many other things
