In a prior video that is now unlisted on YouTube (not here), I replaced a faulty strobe bulb in my turntable with an LED from a landscape light. It worked, and was quite bright, but I was concerned that using the wrong bulb may result in damage to the electronic components in my turntable. In this video, I replace the LED from the landscape light with a new neon bulb specifically designed as a universal replacement for turntables, with step-by-step instruction on disassembly of the turntable, and installation of the new neon bulb.
This turntable is a GLi Pro SL-2500, a Chinese direct drive deck styled after the Technics SL-1200, but with less torque. This same turntable was also sold as the Next by Stanton NT-2500, American DJ TTD-2500 and the Audio Technica AT-LP120. All of these have the same chassis, with only minor differences between them.
