Parenting & Business Management are diverse endeavors.
One seeks to grow the children in a manner where they become independent thinkers capable of making decisions base on facts and data along with a moral upbringing to teach them right from wrong. The end result is the children leave and go their own way.
The other forces compliance and squashes thinking or any independent action.
YouTube is a business. It only seeks conformance. That’s fine if you are working with a single focus and a clear cut line of products. It doesn’t work when you are selling the efforts of creative thinking independent people who are capable of making their own decisions.
YouTube only holds on because they are the only game in town. Just as soon as there is an alternative the kids are going to pack up and leave home.
