Residents of a southern Puerto Rico city discovered a warehouse filled with water, cots and other unused emergency supplies then set off a social media uproar on Saturday (January 18). Following the publication of the now-viral video, residents of the city stormed the warehouse to retrieve the goods that politicians were deliberately keeping away from them as the area struggles to recover from the magnitude 5.9 earthquake that hit their island a few days ago. These emergency supplies had been piled in the warehouse since Hurricane Maria battered Puerto Rico in September 2017.
