Desert - Symbol to believe (English Lyrics)

During both world wars, it was extremely common for soldiers to write letters to their loved ones at home and vice versa. Being able to read these words at the end of the day, when the fighting had come to a close, for most soldiers offered a breath of sanity in the madness of the war, and for many, offered a symbol to believe, that they could survive the war and return home again.
