MORE
This game came out only in Japan originally, back around 1990 for the Famicom. It is quite an impressive RPG saga, and has had a few remakes. For more information, check out its wiki: https://fireemblemwiki.org/wiki/Fire_Emblem_Gaiden#Development
The Famicom couldn't handle these synths, but I tried to keep them close to the 8-bit. You can get the more orchestrated version from the recent Smash Bros. This one, I kept it simple, only adjusting the cymbals and adding a simple bass drum, as the original MIDI file didn't have it. That's understandable, if taken directly from the Famicom, as many games did not incorporate the 8-bit trap set, even though it's pretty decent for its day. The original Battletoads is an example of that. But I think it's part of the rom chip set in the cartridge, and not native to the Famicom/NES.
I found this MIDI here: https://vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/nes/
The original composer for the song is Yuka Tsujiyoko
