No To Unitary Council Of Bournemouth Poole and Christchurch. In effect what it will do is take away independence from Christchurch because they will be outvoted by the larger cities with more Councilors. Christchurch did have a referendum Vote about joining In Unitary Council with Bournemouth and Poole. IT FAILED with an 84% NO Vote. Overwhelming results but... Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government who was promoted by Remainer David Cameron, will disregard the Referendum results. Arent elected officials supposed to do as the voters wish? Isnt this how Democracy works...Apparently not because some some dont believe in Democracy as in where the voters tell the politicians what to do. The actual meeting was to debate the legal challenge to the Consultation process. This being proved flawed it calls into question the legality of the whole merger process. The Council brought in a Lawyer to give advice as to whether there is a case for a legal challenge to the merger process. The Price Waterhouse report - finance ONLY presented the consultation paper that is widely considered as flawed. At present there are 3 actions against them regarding unfair and biased consultations. One regarding the NHS consultation re. local hospitals. Councillors did not have access to view the consultation papers before they were sent to residents. Residents recognized for themselves that the consultation papers were flawed. The Council was briefed by the Officers and not the Councilors who did not have access to view the brief. The advice given by council was apparently not given complete available and up to date information. Services to a Town can be bought from any upper tier ( oversees provision of services) Council. For instance Christchurch could buy services from Winchester , Portsmouth , New Forest. The Christchurch Rebels DO believe in Democracy and will carry the voters wishes out to the END. FIGHT BACK against Political Tyranny.
