Cynthia McKinney is a nationally-recognized leader and a globally-recognized activist for peace and human rights. A six-term member of the House of Representatives from Georgia as a Democrat, she left that party to be the Green Party nominee for President of the United States of America in 2008.

A passionate member of the Civil Rights Movement before and after her Congressional service, McKinney has also served on multiple commissions and journeys of inquiry in relation to 9/11 and the mistreatment of blacks in America including in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and overseas on peace missions to varied countries.

She is a passionate advocate for respecting the U.S. Constitution and minimizing the size of the federal government as well as the weaponization of federal regulations against small businesses and minorities.

She sponsored the Martin Luther King Records Act in 2003 and 2005 and is a champion for Presidential pardon of both Native American and Black Panther leaders now in prison, whom she describes as America’s political prisoners.

An author and speaker, she holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California, a M.A.L.D. from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a Ph.D. from Antioch University with an emphasis on Leadership and Change and how to mobilize transpartisan “power cells” in every neighborhood. Her motto is “people, not parties – authentic, inclusive, truthful.”
