Israel: The Real Cause of the Synagogue Shootings

Dr. E. Michael Jones is back to address the tragic murder of the 11 people in the Pittsburgh Jewish synagogue called Tree of Life Congregation on Saturday, October 27th. This incident raises the ugly head of real anti-semitism. Mike again explains the Catholic position called Sicut Judaeis (Latin: "As the Jews"). Wikipedia states that Sicut Judaeis "was a papal bull setting out the official position of the papacy regarding the treatment of Jews. The first bull was issued in about 1120 by Calixtus II and was intended to protect Jews." While this papal bull emphasized the protection of the Jews by Christians it also permitted Christians to criticise Jews and stop them from taking advantage of Christians through usury and other immoral activities. With the rise of the internet and the possible perception that it is not fair or equal that 2 or 3 percent of the population (Jewish people) have as much power, money and control in the culture as they do. What happened in Pittsburgh should not happen again but if the synagogue (HIAS or Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) was doing something against the law by harboring illegal refugees from the middle east as some have alleged, then it becomes very hard to stop these murders from happening again. The murderer kept saying the Jews were children of Satan which does have a similarity to what Jesus said in John 8:44 speaking to the Jews: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do." The need for strong Christian leadership to properly interpret such passages in harmony with the Church Fathers is the urgency of the hour.
