Skul The Hero Slayer - Playthrough Part 1

Skul The Hero Slayer is a 2D action rouguelite game. As a bit of an inversion of the usual fantasy setting you play as a small skeleton - Skul - on a quest to rescue to the demon king from the humans. The kingdom of Carleon attacked the demon king's castle shortly after a supposed peace treaty and left it in ruins. The humans use Dark Quartz to corrupt your former allies and upon defeating them you extract it to upgrade your stats with the help of the Witch at the Castle every time you die. Straight from the get-go you have a double jump and a double dash giving you great mobility. The dash doubles as a dodge since it has some invincibility frames. You have a regular attack and up to 2 special moves. You can have 2 skulls at a time and switch between them. Each skull controls differently and has different special moves. While playing you obtain various items, which enhance your abilities and you can also find a Quitessence spell, which is shared between the different skulls. The gold you collect can be used in the market which you visit from time to time. There you can heal, buy items or magic. On one of my runs I rescued a Fox Hunter (who is a literal fox beast), who returns to the castle and gives you an extra skull before you go on a journey, which is a nice bonus. The different skulls are the highlight here. There was even one which transforms you into a Ghost Rider like entity complete with a flaming motorcycle. One interesting thing is that the minibosses here are a random knight, but it seems that the first level's boss is always an ent called Iggrasil (nice touch).
