When Paul had fought the Jews who crucified Jesus he made a rule that no churches read or study books out side the writing of the apostles, prophets in scriptures.
If you use a Strong's Concordance and search the word "rule" Strong's 2583 Greek. You will find there that churches that Paul founded were not allowed to study books other than the bible. In Galatians 6:16 you find the word rule. If you look up this word you will be surprised.
The Jews were writing books since their captivity in Babylon from 606 BC until 536 BC. The Babylonian Talmud is taught today in the Yashiva universities located in Israel, NY City, and in Cincinnati. They teach that Jews are the greatest people in the world and the greatest Jew is a homosexual.
