Another GeoCities MIDI gem. It took a while to find the origins, as all I had to go on for searching was the title of the song. Eventually I stumbled onto Mongo Santamaria, and there it was!
The album, El Pussy Cat, came out in 1965. It's basic genre is Jazz, and labeled under the sub-genres of Latin Jazz, Funk, and Soul. Additionally, the style is considered Boogaloo, Cha-Cha, Guanguancó, as well as Latin Jazz (apparently, you can have a genre and style with the same name). Whatever you call it, it's pretty cool.
