In this video, I discuss the imminent approval of two Bitcoin futures-backed ETFs (exchange-traded funds) in the US.

A US Bitcoin ETF will massively increase the pool of potential buyers of Bitcoin, since it can now be bought in a regular brokerage account, and recommended by financial advisors as a portfolio allocation.

The issue of "paper Bitcoin" (whether in the form of Bitcoin futures or a Bitcoin ETF) being used to suppress the price of Bitcoin is a separate and more complicated question.

I prefer to own BTC itself rather than an ETF, which brings with it possible negative carry, tracking error, management fees, and counter-party risk.
