Bon Ton Cafe is the third oldest restaurant in New Orleans opening in 1877. Bon Ton Cafe was the first restaurant in New Orleans to bring Cajun cuisine to challenge the traditional Creole cuisine of New Orleans restaurants. It was just reported that Bon Ton Cafe is in the process of being sold to a new owner and the current owners are closing Bon Ton Cafe on Friday March 6th, 2020 after the completion of dinner service.
