Not to be confused with the game of the same name from 2009, Prototype is a horizontally scrolling shoot'em up by Austrian companies Surprise! Production and neo Software. The game features parallax scrolling and pre-rendered sprites. You have four weapons systems you can switch between. If you collected a power pill, the weapon currently selected gets powered up. At the lowest level, you only have a vulcan gun, regardless of which weapon system. Once powered up, the weapons vary from a spread shot, a powerful single shot, a flame thrower and homing missiles
