Why We Need Population Control

Renowned geneticist and environmentalist David Suzuki explains the dangers of overpopulation and how our economy (which is centered around the concept of endless 'growth') is flawed and very dangerous to all life on Earth. It is not a question of how many square feet each person occupies and that the entire population of the Earth today could fit inside Texas or something. Rather, it is each person's ecological footprint (animals farmed to feed them, waste they produce etc.) and the collective impact of the ever-growing human species on the planet. Dr. David Suzuki is an example of the kind of scientist who advises governments, industry and other leaders about what we ought to do for a sustainable future.

Incidentally, female empowerment is a guaranteed method of slowing the human population growth rate and is actively promoted by the United Nations. Add to that many other measures such as birth control, easily accessible abortion, the normalization of homosexuality, transgenderism etc. and perhaps one day, before it's too late, we just might shrink the human population to a more manageable level. Maybe what men see happening around them is all part of a much bigger picture and a much bigger problem.
