Five Hong Kong speech therapists were found guilty on Wednesday of a conspiracy to publish seditious children's books that were deemed anti-government, a decision denounced by rights campaigners as a blow to free speech in the China-ruled city.…

The charges center around a set of picture books telling the stories of a village of sheep resisting a pack of wolves invading their home -- a storyline that the government prosecutors alleged was meant to provoke contempt of the local government and China's central government in Beijing. CNN reports.

Prosecutors alleged the three picture books, which sought to explain Hong Kong’s pro-democracy movement to youngsters, spread “separatism”, and stirred up ‘”hatred” and opposition to the government. Al-Jazeera reported.
