In 1999, I made this horror film about a murderous dummy head controlled by a mysterious man in black trench coat, inspired by the Neighborhood Watch signs.
It was shot on VHS, and edited with two VCR's which naturally causes "generation loss" where the video/audio quality degrade. Furthermore, the only way I knew how to turn the footage B&W was to point the camera at the TV screen, and turn the color knob down. As a result, the TV pixels and scan lines further degraded the footage. For a while, I thought of it as a cool aesthetic, but more than 20 years later, I felt it was worth doing a remaster. To do this, I had to painstakingly rescan over 10 hours of raw footage and re-edit the movie from scratch.
I also shortened it to 20 minutes. The original edit was nearly an hour.
I feel that the shorter run time helps keep the excitement up and flows better. I consider this to be the definitive version, but you can still see one of the older versions here: https://www.bitchute.com/video/teYjNKnzQqZd/

The original used some real cartoonish stock library music that I purchased, which was great for the time. But now I felt it would be improved with an original composer. For the 2020 edition, the music you hear was composed by Joshua Key from Psychostick, using layers and leftovers that he is creating primarily for the new sequel "The Head Returns" which is coming October 20.
