Geometry 11.1c, Cross sections of Three-dimensional figures

An explanation of a cross-section as the intersection of a three-dimensional figure and a plane. We discuss the different cross sections of different objects and how they will provide different shapes. We see how we can slice a cube to make cross-sections that are either a square, hexagon, or trapezoid. We also discuss the four types of conic sections as circle, ellipse, parabola, and hyperbola. How a degenerate conic is a point, a line, or two intersecting lines that are formed when a plane intersects the vertex of a double napped right cone.
