Kameraden auf See - Marinemarsch/German Navy March + English Translation

Composed by Robert Küssel, words by Götz Otto Stoffregen. The song was originally written for a movie. After the founding of the Navy of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1956 it became a popular naval march that is still played today by many military and civilian bands.
Born in Silesia, Robert Küssel never had anything to do with the military, he was a film composer. Despite this, he composed a number of marches, with "Comrades at Sea" being his most well-known title and a popular naval march among German music corps.

Text:
|: Wir sind Kameraden auf See! :|
English Translation:
|: We are comrades at sea! :|
Come on, girl, now give me the parting kiss
Be brave and faithful when I must part!
And even if we sail away today
We will come home again.
We stand like rocks to windward and leeward,
We are comrades at sea!
