The DMV is in close proximity to Baltimore, which has one of the worst heroin epidemics in the whole country. It spills over into the surrounding areas and affects teens from all different walks of life and socioeconomic status.

This video takes us into the mind of the junkie, and details some psychological, emotional and mental aspects of addiction. There's a kind of push-pull effect that takes place with addicts, where they spiral into a series of self-contradictory mental gymnastics in order to keep the addiction going while tricking themselves into thinking they're on the right path.

So I thought it would be appropriate for Halloween 2019 as the Owen Adams Music Halloween Special, seeing as the subject matter is so dark and horrifying. But as shocking as this video may be, the real shocker is that this is literally the exact life of many teen drug addicts, and not only the ones on the street in the ghetto.
