Before you watch this cartoon, take a minute and set the stage. This is a

time when the world was at WAR. The only political correctness was how to

be respectful in the House and Senate.
The word "racist" wasn't thrown around freely like "and & the" as it is

today by some people. Hollywood and all the prominent actors supported

the war effort. The people of the US did their part too, donating time and

materials. Anything to support our boys over there.
We didn't like our enemies and we didn't have nice things to say about

them. No one cared if things said about them were "racist" or "phobic". We

despised them, for what they had done to innocent people in Europe and

our people in Hawaii.
If you watch this series you will notice a change take place in the cartoons

as Popeye and the US become focused on the war effort.
