Overall, Battleheart legacy had lots of going for it. It had great character customization, great animations, great combat, and great use of humour - it definitely didn’t take itself too seriously at all. I loved the game, and I played it several times, creating all kinds of different combinations of characters.
It did need some tweaking in the story department. The first 15 levels of the game were excellent, because you had lots of little quests from people, but towards the end of the game, it’s a repetitive grind to gain experience and the next level and ability.
And there were unresolved parts to the game as well, including a ‘Cartel’ storyline that never materialized.
But this is a fine example for a game that was developed by 5 people, and everything a small group of people using my resources could start to put together with Codea, Blender and Xcode (coming next block in June).
