Why so worried about the Big 5? Part 5

Continuing in Part 5 of the discussion 'Why so worried about the Big 5' I draw closer to my extrapolations regarding the trait 'Conscientiousness' and compare the inherent qualities of the trait taking into consideration the functional benefit it is as a personality trait within society and the dysfunctional properties it presupposes in light of its lending to conforming to society, bereft of genuine moral considerations. Those high in this trait face anxiety in respect of the consequences ( loss of status, respectability, friendship, monetary and financial acquisitions, social standing ) when one is low on conscientiousness so, therefore, attributing the trait as being purely altruistic is misleading at best and dire consequences will manifest within our increasingly demoralized society as people are deceived and self-deluded into believing that following the crowd implies a virtue, while more so to the point, it implies doing what is most self-preserving so as not to stand out from the crowd and jeopardize losing all status and or worst yet being ostracized and stigmatized as 'anti-social'.
