How important is a name? think about this...Have you noticed names from other countries? For instance the president of China Xi Jinping, The United snakes president Barack Hussein Obama...ETC ETC.. we can even include the title Satan....their names remain the same in all languages and are pronounced the same all over the world.
Yet the name above all names is removed replaced with a title or completely changed... answer if you can Proverbs 30:4.
Most people who use the excuse of " i don't speak Hebrew i speak English" need to stop... most of you don't speak Latin or Greek either!
Guess what language the name Jesus is from... but people go to different countries an don't even change that name. hmm mm... suspect!
Let's get some edification...
Scriptural Definition of the word "Name"
This will prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the word "Name" not only means "character and reputation" but also a literal written and spoken name.
This is the definition of the Hebrew word "shem" which is translated as "name" all throughout scripture
Strong's # 8034 Shem;
a primitive word [perhaps rather from 7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare 8064]; an appellation, AS A MARK or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character: - + base, [in-] fame[-ous], name[-d], renown, report.
As you can see from the above definition, Yahuah's name not only represents His character but the Name Yahuah is also HIS MARK! What is a mark but something that is written? The Name YAHUAH also is His memorial of individuality. This definition goes hand in hand with scripture:
Exodus 3:15 (KJV) And Alahym said moreover to Moses, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel, YAHUAH Alahym of your fathers, the Alahym of Abraham, the Alahym of Isaac, and the Alahym of Jacob, hath sent me to you: this [is] my name for ever, and this [is] my memorial to all generations.
Look at Man!
A name is a major part of someone’s identity. That’s why some people want to make their names well-known.
Man has set up many memorials for himself such as "The Unknown Soldier" or "The Wall" for instance. Can you imagine the punishment one would receive if someone had gone up and destroyed one of these memorials?
Now if we wouldn't desecrate one of man's memorials, then why would anyone want to desecrate Yahuah's Memorial - His Name!? We do not have the right to change His name to whatever we want to call Him. where is the respect his honor that is due to him
