This short work is one of my favorite books on Nietzsche! Like myself, Sloterdijk figures Nietzsche as a truly axial figure in a hermeneutic literature. For him, Nietzsche realizes and redefines the purpose of literature, making a conscious effort to put thought into motion unlike any that had come before him- at least for the stretch of time we call 'recorded history'.
