The head of the Chicano Park Steering Committee talks about a couple of the illegal burials that have been done in Chicano Park, a radical political park in San Diego that has been supported over the years with millions of dollars of local, state and national tax funds. The Chicano movement of the 1960s was an ultranationalist, racialist movement. The park is considered to be "sacred" as the first piece of Aztlan (the American Southwest) that has the taken back from the gringos. It's illegal to deposit human remains in a public park or other such place without authorization, but the Chicano radicals think that they have reconquered this piece of land and that they own it.
