Coronavirus Measures are Making the Vulnerable More Vulnerable

I had another interesting day in the neighbourhood. In addition to be followed again, I was able to interview two homeless gentlemen downtown. I was tipped off as to the grave situation of our homeless since the State of Emergency was announced by the Saskatchewan Government.

I was able to interview two ladies who know the lay of the land when it comes to our vulnerable population. Our lengthy conversation the other day exposed that they are in real trouble as the services they have come to rely are either gone or in very limited service. After hearing many stories of what was happening I decided to get out with some food and water and start interviewing the homeless for myself.

The State of Emergency has made the vulnerable even more vulnerable. I thought these measures were to protect the vulnerable? Why have they been forgotten? This is where the facts on the ground do not ally with the narrative we are being told and where the measures are actually working contrary to the health and wellbeing of the homeless.
