1974 Christmas cartoon loosely inspired by the classic Moore poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas"... Rankin/Bass, but in flat animation rather than the stop-motion they are famous for.

Seems Santa Claus has had just about enough of Junctionville's BS, and is planning to bypass the town entirely. It's up to the know-it-all (literal) rat who ticked him off to mend his ways and save Christmas.

Kind of a forgotten entry among TV Christmas Specials. But 44 years ago, when our viewing options weren't infinite like they are now, it was a welcome addition to the holiday line-up.
