In India, Hydroxychloroquine is used as a preventive treatment for all healthcare professionals and relatives of Covid19 infected with excellent results in terms of nationwide mortality. China, South Chorea, Russia, Australia and Israel are also using Hydroxychloroquine and have very low mortality figures.
Professor Raoult of Marseille has treated 2,600 patients with hydroxychloroquine with only 10 deaths as a result, without serious side effects. Dr. Vladimir Zelenko of New York has similar results. However, it is important that this combination of medicines (Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin and Zinc) is given as early as possible in the course of the disease in order to have an effect, just as when taking Tamiflu for influenza and Aziclovir for Herpes infections. This explains why some scientific studies with hydroxychloroquine at a late stage of the disease showed no effect. There has also been a campaign in media exaggerating the side effects of Hydroxychloroquine in order to scare people away from using it. If it was as dangerous as many of these articles state, it would not be approved for use in treating reumatic diseases, which by the way are very seldom life threatening, in contrast to Covid19.
You normally are more inclined to accept side effects in cases of life threatenening diseases.
Many National Boards of Health has limited the right to prescribe Hydroxychloriquine for Covid 19 patients.
It is therefore of the utmost importance that the National Boards of Health and the Medical Agencies worldwide will enable all doctors as soon as possible to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine in primary care, and as preventive medicine for healthcare personnel and relatives so that as few patients as possible need hospital care for Covid19 in the world.
I challenge all my colleagues to print a public prescription for Hydroxychloroquine and publish it on the Web to emphasize this requirement. Then we have the possibility to be able to end the crisis and reopen our society.
Prevention: Hydroxychloriquine 200 mg 2 + 2 day one, thereafter 2 tablets per week.
Treatment: Hydroxychloriquine 200 mg 2 + 2 day one, 1 + 1 thefollowing four days
Azithromycin 500 mg 1 tablet/day for five days
Zinksulphate 220 mg
