The Occult History of The Third Reich - Himmler The Mystic

This is the fourth in a four part series from The History Channel on the Occult History of The Third Reich. This part describes the descent into the mystic beliefs and actions of the increasingly cruel and strange SS headed by Heinrich Himmler. Himmler is renowned for being one of the major forces behind the Holocaust and his leanings toward pagan and occult magic and mysticism.

These beliefs, and the power of being one of Hitler's right hand men, gave the Nazi's a decidedly 'magical' objective when it came to taking over the world. This may explain some of the stranger actions undertaken by the Nazis; like the desire for acquiring holy and mystical relics like the Holy Grail and Spear of Destiny; their visits to world wide sites of known super natural and mystical power like Tibet; and their obsession with symbolism and totems of symbolic power.
