Libertarian Party UK
The Libertarian Party is the party of small government, because they believe that the best person to make decisions about your life is you. As a growing and relentless, peaceful, revolution the Libertarian Party represents a total challenge to the status quo. The Libertarian Party is the only party that really understands the correct origins of the power of the state – which is the people. The Libertarian Party is the only party that really understands the importance of defending the smallest minority of all – you the individual – by protecting your individual rights. The Libertarian Party is the only party that really understands the economic dampening effect of big government and the liberating effect of a small one. The Libertarian Party is the only party that really understands the vital role of liberty, in a successful and prosperous life for individuals and nations. As a party they have no desire to impose on the private lives and rights of individuals, only to provide for the defence of individuals who are being imposed upon. The Libertarian Party is a truly refreshing, room making, alternative to the ever more cumbersome, claustrophobic and restrictive future promised by the status quo. A status quo which has no tools left but fear to hold us in check while they add more chains and more regulations. In contrast the Libertarian Party promises the genuine, practical, hope of individual freedom and a small state that gets out of the way, leaving space for all to grow. If you support Brexit, equal rights, low tax, small government and personal freedoms, you might be a libertarian.
LPUK stands for lower taxes for both individuals and companies, small government, free speech and individual responsibility. They support free trade and free enterprise whilst believing that people should make their own choices and not rely on the government. They support a withdrawal from the European Union and a return to the free trade agreements that it was founded on. The LPUK is a broad libertarian platform which takes a realistic view on libertarianism in the UK and our policies and mission statements reflect that. The Party exists solely to give voters a chance to vote for Liberty and a small State, it does not claim to have leadership of the Libertarian Movement, or represent all of the many strands of Libertarian thought. For those who have a deeper understanding of politics, The Libertarian Party UK is a Classical Liberal Regionalist and Minarchist organisation. It is not an Anarchist Collective. We have a Constitution that all members who join assent voluntarily to abide by. If you don’t like elections and being in a Constitutional Party don’t join the LPUK. They are a rapidly growing party, but they need support to help get the message out and about to the general public about libertarian politics and what they stand for.
